The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved a new product for treatment of the erectile dysfunction (ED).
In a new study, researchers at the New York University School of Medicine found that men taking Viagra were more likely to take an ED medication (as well as the generic version of Viagra) than men who did not use Viagra.
The FDA approval means that the drug, which has been approved by the FDA for ED since 1998, could potentially offer more immediate relief in patients who have been previously diagnosed with erectile dysfunction (ED).
Viagra is available as a pill in several forms, including sildenafil, tadalafil and vardenafil, the latter being one of the most commonly used ED medications.
It's also possible that Viagra could be a possible treatment option for patients with certain medical conditions, including high blood pressure, diabetes, prostate cancer and high cholesterol. It's not yet clear what the FDA's findings mean for them, but it's likely that men with ED would benefit from taking Viagra.
"If you have ED, it is important to have treatment that is effective for the underlying medical conditions," said Dr. Thomas K. R. Schulz, M. D., director of the Center for Cardiovascular Disease Prevention and Treatment, and lead investigator of the study.
"We're looking at a small number of patients, and that's a good thing," he continued.
"We think that some of the factors that may be contributing to this could be that the ED is a symptom of underlying health problems, and that there are patients who are already taking medications that are not currently being used for this purpose."
The new study was published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine in.
In patients who have previously had cardiovascular disease, the new study found that Viagra was more effective in improving erections for the patients with cardiovascular disease, but this was not statistically significant. For the patients who had been treated for cardiovascular disease for a few years, the study showed that Viagra had a lower incidence of erections compared to other ED medications.
In men who have not been treated for cardiovascular disease, the study found that Viagra was more effective in improving erections for the patients with a heart condition, but this was not statistically significant.
In patients who have been treated for certain types of high blood pressure, the study showed that Viagra had a lower incidence of blood pressure than other ED medications. The lower incidence of blood pressure in patients treated for this condition could be related to how well Viagra is metabolized and its effect on blood pressure in the body.
Viagra, however, is not currently approved for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, the FDA's new study reported.
Viagra may be a good option for men who have cardiovascular disease who do not have the disease, because Viagra can be taken for a shorter time and more often than other medications. The longer Viagra is taken and the longer duration of Viagra, the better it works for the patient.
In patients with diabetes, the new study showed that patients taking a blood glucose medicine for diabetes had a lower incidence of diabetes-related complications compared to patients who did not take diabetes medicine.
The study was published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine.

In patients who have high blood pressure, the study found that Viagra was more effective in improving erections for the patients with high blood pressure, but this was not statistically significant.
"We need to make sure that there are patients who are already taking medications that are not currently being used for this purpose," Schulz said.
